Our professional staff at VisionLink For Banks (formerly The Executive Compensation Institute - ECI) supports the consulting effforts of a network of professional advisor relationships in eight states across the country.
THOMAS J. JORDAN / President and CEO
Tom has helped businesses and banks retain their key people and key customers for over 23 years. He has either jointly or independently developed solutions for over 350 community banks and 150 businesses. He actively provides consulting services and speaks to his market, both Bank CEOs and Directors and successful business owners, on matters of executive compensation and exit strategies.
Tom is the President, CEO and Founder of VisionLink For Banks, a multi-dimensional consulting firm focused on bringing leadership, confidence, relationships and predictability to the world of community banking executive management. Tom serves on the Advisory Board of M Benefit Solutions — Bank Strategies, an M Financial Company.
Tom was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps and holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi and a Masters of Science degree in Financial Services from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. He also holds several certifications relevant to his market place.
THOMAS V. LYNCH / Managing Partner *
Tom graduated with honors in Russian Studies from Syracuse University. After military duty he immediately went into the sales field and entered the life insurance business in 1959 and the securities field in 1969. He received his Chartered Life Underwriter designation (CLU) in 1965 and the Chartered Financial Consultant designation (ChFC) in 1982. He is Managing Partner of ECI/Bank Strategies —Minnesota. He is also a principal of Octagon Financial Group; President of Bryn Mawr Financial Corporation, an investment management marketing firm, and Planned Giving Systems, Inc., a firm specializing in uses of charitable giving and other advanced tax and estate planning tools. Within both the planned giving community and the banking community, he is considered among the nation's foremost planners in the use of creative strategies and solutions to a myriad of tax and estate planning problems. He has received many industry awards, has lectured extensively to industry and professional groups and is past president of both the Minneapolis and Minnesota Associations of Insurance and Financial Advisors.
GAVIN FINLAY / Business Development
Gavin shares responsibility for the growth and development of VisionLink For Banks' new clients. He is also involved in the day-to-day management of the firm's marketing plan.
After serving with the United States Marine Corps, Gavin received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Auburn University. While earning his degree, Gavin worked for the Auburn Fire Department for four years and was also actively involved in coordinating fundraising events for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Gavin is Series 7 Licensed.
RUSSELL MCMILLAN / Managing Principal
As Managing Principal for VisionLink For Banks (formerly The Executive Compensation Institute - ECI), Russell is responsible for development and implementation of the firm's marketing plan. He also assigns and coordinates back-office workflow and acts as the lead contact throughout VisionLink For Banks' proprietary consultative process.
Mr. McMillan's insurance and benefits background includes working as an Analyst for benefits consulting firm Mullin Consulting, Inc., as a Sales Agent for Mutual of Omaha and as Market Analyst/Corporate Accountant for Prudential Insurance Company of America. Russell's entrepreneurial background includes being a Founding Member and Operations Manager for GiftEmporia.com, an upscale gift portal and destination website that provided an outsourced e-commerce infrastructure for independent specialty retailers and the General Partner of brick & riley productions, an independent feature film production company.
Mr. McMillan proudly graduated from Boston College with degrees in Accounting and General Management.
EDWARD D. PHILLIPS
Mr. Phillips is the former Chairman of Texas Community Bank and Trust (now Frost Bank), current Chairman of Trust Management Network, a national provider of trust operations support for community banks, Mr. Phillips is the former Chairman and CEO of Texas Community Bancshares, Inc., a past member of the Board of Directors of Texas Independent Bank, and past member of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas.
